Skills for Care – Resources

Skills for Care is the strategic workforce development and planning body for adult social care in England. They work with employers, the Government and partners to ensure social care has the right people, skills and support required to deliver the highest quality care and support now and in the future.

With over half a million adult social care workers supporting people with a learning disability and/or autistic people in England, it’s vital that adult social care workers have the right skills and knowledge to provide high quality, person-centered care and support.

The Skills for Care website has a variety of useful resources, including Learning disability training videos that can assist people on health and social care courses. These videos cover a variety of subjects, such as communicating with someone who has a learning disability, learning from lives and deaths, and Law and the rights of people with a disability.
